Customer Policies
At Practical Overlanding, we’re committed to providing top-tier customer service and dependable gear for your adventures. Below you’ll find our policies regarding returns, exchanges, shipping, refunds, and more.
Returns & Exchanges
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days from the date you receive your item to request a return or exchange.
To be eligible for a return:

The item must be unused, uninstalled, and in its original packaging.

All tags, accessories, and manuals must be included.

Proof of purchase is required.
To start a return, contact us at support@practicaloverlanding.com. Please do not send items back without prior authorization, as they will not be accepted.
If your return is approved, we’ll provide a return shipping label and instructions for how and where to send your package.
Exchanges
The fastest way to obtain a replacement item is to initiate a return for the original product and then place a separate order for the new item once your return has been accepted.
Damaged or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, contact us at support@practicaloverlanding.com within 30 days and before using or installing the product. We will work with you to resolve the issue, which may include providing a replacement at no additional shipping cost (equivalent to the shipping method of the original order). Expedited shipping may be available at the customer’s expense.
Product Defects & Warranty Support
Practical Overlanding does not provide product warranties on behalf of manufacturers but may evaluate warranty-related concerns on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.
We are not responsible for any damage caused by improper installation, misuse, modification, or neglect. Customers are responsible for shipping costs associated with warranty-related returns unless otherwise stated.
Practical Overlanding is not liable for labor charges, installation, or removal costs associated with any product, whether defective or incorrect.
Shipping & Lost Packages
Shipping Discrepancies
Please report any discrepancies with your order—such as incorrect items, colors, or quantities—within 30 days of delivery. We are unable to resolve issues reported after this timeframe.
Damaged Shipments
If your order arrives visibly damaged, you must file a claim with the shipping carrier (e.g., UPS, FedEx) within 48 hours. Claims must be submitted directly to the carrier.
Lost Shipments
If the carrier officially confirms your package as lost, we will ship a replacement of the same item. We are not responsible for lost packages unless the freight company declares them lost.
Refused Shipments
If you refuse a delivery for any reason, you may be charged for round-trip shipping as well as any storage or handling fees incurred.
Pricing & Cancellations
All prices are subject to change without notice. If a pricing error is identified:

Prior to shipping, we will contact you to approve the corrected price or issue a full refund.

After shipping, we may request payment for the correct amount or facilitate a return.
Cancellations made after an order has been processed may incur a 10–20% cancellation fee. Special-order items cannot be canceled or returned under any circumstances.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of the refund approval. If approved, a full refund will be issued to your original payment method within 10 business days.
Please note that it may take additional time for your bank or credit card provider to process and post the refund.
If more than 15 business days have passed since your return was approved and you have not received your refund, please contact us at support@practicaloverlanding.com.
European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
If your order is shipped into the European Union, you are entitled to cancel or return your order within 14 days of delivery for any reason, without needing to provide justification.
Returned items must be unused, in their original packaging, with all tags, and accompanied by proof of purchase.
Summary of Return & Cancellation Terms

All cancellations, exchanges, and returns must be authorized by Practical Overlanding.

All order cancellations are subject to a 10–20% cancellation fee. Once an item has shipped, it can no longer be cancelled.

All approved returns are subject to a minimum 15% restocking fee. Returns requested more than 30 days after receipt will not be accepted.

Large items shipped via truck freight may be subject to a 25% restocking fee.

Shipping charges are non-refundable.

Practical Overlanding will not accept any item that has been opened, used, installed, or modified.
